\newcommand{\bF}{{\mathbb{F}}} \newcommand{\sV}{{\mathcal V}} A pair of polynomials $f,g \in \bF_q[T]$ is called a \emph{Davenport pair} if their value sets are equal, $\sV_f(\bF_{q^t})= \sV_g(\bF_{q^t})$, for \emph{infinitely} many extensions of $\bF_q$. This paper studies such pairs.
